THE LANDSCAPE'S MEMORY
2024 PAINTING PROJECT

Landscapes can be more than just nice postcards.

Landscapes can be the memories of home when we're far. Landscapes can capture the happy days. They can be the stories of a life.

In this new series, I revisited the traditional painting approach to capture the landscapes that have shaped my journey. With a muted palette of grays and earth tones, these works serve as a visual diary, preserving the essence of my experiences and the places that have become a part of me.

These small-scale paintings with carefully handmade frames capture the essence of time and place. They transport the viewer back to their loved places and remind us of the stories that shape who we are.

This project is the perfect blend of art and craft, combining painting & conceptual practice with the slow and meticulous process of handcrafting each frame from scratch.

MAKING EACH PIECE UNIQUE IS AT THE CORE OF THIS PROJECT
